Bell 429 1:5 – Fuselage Kit

The Bell 429 from VARIO is a 1050 size scale helicopter. You can power this remote-controlled model helicopter with turbine or electric propulsion. Bell Helicopter and Korea Aerospace Industries are the creators of the man-carrying version and Bell Helicopter produces this helicopter. The full size helicopter is supplied either with a skid landing gear or retracts. This Vario model is 1/5th scale and supplied with landing skids. The fuselage has been developed using original 3D data supplied by Bell Helicopter. This ensures that the helicopter has a true scale outline.

In both turbine and a electric powered versions, the dome mechanics 429/22 are used. For the electric version the turbine adaptor for Pyro 800 (Ord.No. 429/59) mounts the electric motor in the same position as the turbine. In both versions the mounting of the turbine / electric motor is situated up in the top fuselage dome allowing room below for an extended cockpit design.

For VARIO’s 1050 Bell429 we recommend a maximum main rotor speed of 850 rpm.

The Bell 429 fuselage kit for the Pro 5000 turbine can be ordered with Ord.No. 4290.

The turbine version fascinates by the smell of kerosene, a gently starting rotor, accompanied by the unmistakable sound of a turbine. Until the electrical power revolution in radio controlled model construction, turbines were the most powerful drives. In terms of flight times, turbines are still superior to electro-flight.

Electric Mechanics 429/22

Our propulsion recommendation for this helicopter! Convert the turbine mechanics into electric by simply adding an adapter to mount the electric motor. The mechanics is particularly torsion-resistant. This mechanics is suitable for fuselage kit Ord.No. 4290.

Electric motors are quiet, low in vibration, without exhaust gases and residual thrust. The blade slap noise sound of the rotor blades is more noticeable than with other types of propulsion and the result is a true-to-life impression in flight. For this electromechanical system we offer drive components for 12S LiPos.

The Bell 429 GlobalRanger is a light, twin-engine helicopter developed by Bell Helicopter and Korea Aerospace Industries, based on the Bell 427. First flight of the Bell 429 prototype took place on February 27, 2007, and received type certification on July 1, 2009. The Bell 429 is capable of single-pilot IFR and Runway Category A operations.
